What level player am I? Pickleball-Canada-Skills-Self-Assessment-Chart
At Bison Pickleball, we’re committed to growing a strong and welcoming pickleball community across Winnipeg and Manitoba. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or an experienced player looking to sharpen your skills, our learn‑to‑play sessions and skills‑and‑drills clinics are designed to help you improve, compete, and have fun.
Players who attend our clinics gain a clearer understanding of the fundamentals, smarter court positioning, and practical drills they can continue using long after the session ends. Our coaching focuses on skills you’ll actually use in recreational and competitive play, helping you feel more confident and consistent on the court.
With hundreds of clinics delivered and thousands of players taught, we’ve built a proven track record of helping players develop confidence, refine technique, and elevate their overall game strategy. Many players return to progress through multiple skill levels as their game evolves.
Our programs are led by an NCCP Level 2–certified head instructor who is also a DUPR‑certified coach and a 5.0+ DUPR player. Our assistant instructor is also a 5.0+ DUPR player and can effectively demonstrate all techniques being taught.
Our coaching style is structured, supportive, and feedback‑driven. We pride ourselves on creating a positive learning environment where players feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence at their own pace.
We maintain a 1:6 instructor‑to‑student ratio for most clinics to ensure personalized attention. Clinics are capped to match available court space, with no more than 4 players per court, so everyone stays active with no waiting around.
Sessions are thoughtfully structured to progress from skill instruction to focused drills and game‑like scenarios. This approach allows players to immediately apply what they’ve learned in realistic situations on the court.
We offer clinics both indoors and outdoors across Manitoba and Saskatchewan, allowing for year‑round opportunities to learn and improve. We also organize group sessions for birthday parties, corporate events, and community gatherings.
All necessary equipment—including paddles and balls—is provided, making it easy for first‑time players to get started without any upfront investment.
